This piece has been made during a jewelry workshop at school, with the following subject as the only direction : TOTEM.

My research on the matter brought me to the idea of realizing a brooch with a totemic animal since the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear "TOTEM" is the image of those huge sculpted statues we can find in the ancient Amerindian culture.

I chose to represent a bull on my brooch because it's a very meaningful animal - whether we look at ancient stories based on it or at what it represents.
